A Barn is a sanctuary in an unsettled world. Where life's true priorities are clear. When you take a step back it's not just about horses-- It's about love, life, and learning.
As with any rehabilitation and rescue facility our volunteers and our sponsors are the life blood of our organization. These people are what helps us keep the doors open. Let's face it, each horse that comes through our facility is in need of something. Some require veterinary care and layup time for an injury, some have special farrier needs to address a lameness issue, some have special feeding requirements and supplements due to neglect, malnutrition, or age, others just need time to decompress and learn how to be a horse again. These horses need time to learn what it is like to be in a pasture or even socialize with other horses. All of these needs require two main components, Time and Money. Each horse is special that comes to our farm. We take the time to get to know the horse, their needs and personality. Their feeding needs and nutrition are tailored to give them the best possible chance to flourish not only mentally but physically as well. JHF Re3 started on a small scale with just one rehab horse at a time with the costs covered solely by Jumping H Farm and the profits received from JHF's lesson, boarding, trail riding programs. Over time there has been greater demand for the services provided and JHF Re3 Adoption and Therapy was born. This has allowed us to help more than just one horse at a time. JHF Re3 Rehabilitates as many as 6 horses at a time. What does this mean in lay terms? It means 6 times the feed, hay, supplements, veterinary and farrier needs. All donations submitted to JHF Re3 go directly to the care of the horses. 100% of what monetarily comes through the door either by donation or adoption fee goes to the daily upkeep, care and well being of each horse at our facility. This allows us to take our time and truly rehabilitate the horse, mind and body. It gives us the time to rehabilitate and retrain each of these horses, increasing their chances for a successful adoption. Your donations allow horses like Centrifical Force the layup time of 8-10 months or more, to truly heal from his race career ending injury. With the proper care he will go on in time to pursue another career in the show ring or on the trail. In 2014 alone we have rehabbed, retrained and rehomed 8 horses. As of November 2014 we currently have 5 in our program. For a fledgling non-profit those are huge numbers. We could not do it without the love and support of people like you.
