2006 16.2hh Chestnut Mare 13:0-1-0 Adoption Fee: N/A Information about horse: Dixie retired from the track in 2009. She was originally adopted to a family as a trail horse. This mare changed hands several times over the years. Some where along the way she acquired a knee injury. When she came to us in November of 2020 her knee was swollen and she was lame. The pictures are below. We had her knee injected and she improved greatly. The videos below are of her first ride after the injections. The injections lasted a few months and she is currently pasture sound on no medications. We would like to find her a forever companion home. This mare is a big handsome chestnut mare who is barefoot and an easy keeper.
