2012 17.1+ hand dark bay gelding
Adoption Fee: $5500.00 RETIRED RACEHORSE PROJECT 2022 ELIGIBLE Information about horse: We call him Sir Robert as befitting his station as warhorse extraordinaire. Sir retired sound after 94 starts and $271,979 in career earnings. This handsome fella knows his job under saddle. After just a few rides under saddle post track I can honestly say he will have just as much talent off the track as he did on the track. Sensible under saddle he has a solid walk trot and canter. Willingly has trotted ground poles and cross rails after just a handful of rides. At a solid 17.1 hands he doesn't give these much thought. We are working on his crosstie manners as he is a bit wiggly but gets a little better each time. His only negative is he currently will raise his head if he doesn't want the bit which is a bit daunting since he is so tall. We are working on this and are confident it is a short term issue.
